Recently a former client suggested to Tray that he keep a testimonial page and document recent activity.  This page is now dedicated to testimonials and recent activity.  The "Colorado Family Law Results" page was added July 24, 2010.  So to be fair to the competition only selected results from June 28, 2010 forward will be posted to stopthatX.com.   Attorney Tray Stephany does not guarantee any result and people must keep in mind that all cases are different and may have different outcomes based upon the facts.  Tray Stephany will not be posting all results and testimonials submitted for publication on stopthatX.com simply because Tray is busy working on other Clients' Denver / Family Law / Divorce / Child Custody issues etc.  Thank you.

June 28: Hearing on Our Motion to Modify Parenting Time.

Outcome: After the Permanent Orders Hearing the Court adopted our Parenting Plan and Established the amount of Child Support we requested.

BACKGROUND: Was hired on this case one month out from Permanent Orders.  Usually prefer more time but can always catch up on sleep later.  Great Client (Father).

July 12: Child Abuse Charge. 
Outcome: DISMISSED


BACKGROUND: In my opinion the X was being nasty and trying to blame my Client for something they did.  Great Client (Mother).

JULY 13: Petition to Establish Child Support & Parenting Plan.
Outcome: STIPULATION

BACKGOUND: After a spirited Temporary Orders Hearing and sparring back and forth with Counsel Parties came to a mutually agreed Parenting Plan and Child Support Worksheet.  Really this was an enjoyable case with great Clients ~ Thank you for hiring me! (Mother).

July 14: The X Motioned to Terminate Maintenance and drop my Client from the Life Insurance Policy. 
Outcome: MOTION DENIED AFTER HEARING.  
  

BACKGROUND: My Client was entitled to $1300 a month in maintenance and be the beneficiary of a $150,000 dollar life insurance policy.  The X was trying to end my Client's benefits.  At Hearing the X was stopped.

July 23: Motion to Restrict My Client's Parenting Time.
Outcome: THE X WAS DEFEATED AT HEARING AND HIS MOTION DENIED.


BACKGROUND: In my opinion, the X was trying to get a leg up in the forseeable child custody battle and was using this Motion to bully my client.  Ultimately the X was stopped.

August 4: Our Emergency Motion to Restrict Parenting Time
Outcome: Defeated the X's opposing counsel after spirited hearing.

Background: The X was trying to unilaterally relocate with the minor children which was clearly not in their best interests. The X was stopped.

Week of September 1: Permanent Protection Order brought by my Client to protect himself and the kids from the female X.

Outcome: the X is Permanently restrained from my Client and must have supervised visitation with the kids for 120 days.
 
Background: The X attacked my Client and threatened to kill the kids.

Week of October 11: The X brough a Contempt against my client comprised of 4 Contempt issues.

Outcome: the X was defeated on 3 issues and the Court ordered parties to Mediation as to the 4th issue.

Background: The X was trying to stir it up.  This case is to be continued as we filed a new Motion to promote our position.

Week of November 15: Had to bring a Motion to Enforce Against the X. 

Background: The X was not allowing Father to have parenting time.  Father decided that would not do and hired Tray.

Outcome: The X was stopped after Hearing.  Father got his parenting time back and the X was forced to allow Father to make that parenting time up.  Great outcome here.  Also a bonus, the judge said if the X does it again she will have to go to jail.

Week of December 20: Contempt Hearing

Background: The X was not following the parenting plan.

Outcome: The Court ordered the X to follow the plan or else (confidential).

Week of January 10: Defend against Restraining Order

Background: The X was just mad that the wife found a younger man.

Outcome:  The X was defeated at the Hearing and the Restraining Order was dropped.

Week of January 17: Defending against Contempt Citation

Background: The parties were young and shared a child.  The Father accused my Client of violating the parenting plan. Father brought a Contempt citation against my client.

Outcome:  The attorneys came to an agreement where some issues would be corrected.  Opposing Counsel was a stand-up attorney.  Ultimately the Contempt Hearing was vacated.
